Botox® Cosmetic

Botox® Cosmetic injection is an effective treatment for deep frown lines between the eyes, expression lines on the forehead and crow’s feet around the eyes. It is a purified protein initially designed to relax the treated muscle. Properly administered, Botox® will dramatically improve facial wrinkles quickly and safely without any significant risk or downtime.

Botox® Cosmetic is usually used on the upper third of the face to soften the lines on the face especially the frown lines, forehead lines and crow’s feet. The treatment goal is to improve the appearance of wrinkles caused by movement, in areas where the movement will not be missed by the patient. The net result is that, even though movement may return after 3 months, the wrinkles will be improved for some time after the movement has fully returned.

With repetitive Botox® Cosmetic treatments, the lines and wrinkles will gradually improve, even without other treatment, and the interval needed to maintain the improvement become longer! With proper sun protection (to prevent further damage to collagen and elastic tissue), topical treatments (to improve the environment for new collagen production), and treatments to stimulate new collagen and elastic tissue production (such as IPL/laser treatments), truly remarkable results can be achieved.

Results become evident within 5-7 days of treatment. The effects of Botox® Cosmetic are temporary. To achieve and maintain optimal results, the treatment needs to be repeated every 3 to 6 months.
