Breast augmentation may be combined with a breast lift (mastopexy) when fullness and volume are desired to enhance your new look. Dr. Howard Dawkins at Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, PA safely combines both procedures in one surgical visit saving the patient time and money. The augmentation and breast lift (mastopexy) procedure is performed on women of any age while under general anesthesia in the safety and comfort of our nationally accredited outpatient operating room, Aesthetic Operative Suite, LLC. A mammogram may be required. Patients may expect 1 week out of work and 4 weeks for full recovery. As with the breast lift procedure alone, the breast is recontoured, the nipple and areola are raised, and excess skin is removed to restore a more youthful appearance. During the surgery an implant is inserted in order to enlarge the breast.
